William Davies - Yr Ornest (Tenor)
Originally published in 1886, this song by William Davies (1859-1907) was one of the most popular performance pieces for bartione singers at the end of the nineteeth century. Setting the words of Morwyllt (Edward Edwards), it sold thousands of copies in Davies's lifetime, it was one of many 'hits' that he composed - otherse including O! Na Byddai'n Haf o Hyd (O That Summer Smil'd for Aye) and Llwybr yr Wyddfa.
